Fri - Dec 22/17

We turned on the TV in the bedroom before 8 a.m. and decided to stay in bed until 9. The high humidity meant fog that was not supposed to burn off until 9 a.m. even though it will warm up to the mid-80's F.

With the computer problem solved and no craft session today we decide to head out for an adventure. As usual I try to take the quite roads as much as possible. Leaving just after nine meant there was little traffic all the way to the Market at Marion in Belleview, FL. They are open: Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. year round. On Fridays the hours are:  8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

We usually park across from Aisle "G". That way we can remember were the car is.

Shopping at the Market of Marion is like taking a step back in time. It’s the olde towne square, the trading post and the local mercantile all rolled into one. There are over 1,100 booths with more than 400 dealers. You’ll find just about anything and everything there. More than 1,000,000 shoppers visit the Market every year. It is a regular stop for us.

We found an item in the "As Seen On TV" that we liked.

These battery operated lanterns are perfect for RVers. Pull up to turn on. Good LED light source. I bought the 4 the boxes.

Our old hats were pretty "Ratty". At this price it was easy to decide to buy 2 new hats for "Topless Cruising" (in the Del Sol - not us - grin)

We found a few other items (Magnetic Money Clip / Diabetic Socks - 3-pack / USB to micro USB cord.)

As I predicted, the skies were now clear blue (after 11 a.m.) as the fog had now burnt off. We then headed for Dunnellon, FL.

We pulled into "The Blue Gator" for lunch. It is right on the water across the road from the Dunnellon City Boat Ramp where the "Singing River Tour" departs.

I called the reservation phone number for the boat tour while we waited for our lunch to arrive. I just got an automatic "leave a name, Phone # and message...message."

We shared a"Fish Taco" plate - 4 tacos (excellent) as was the Cole Slaw. The Key Lime Pie we shared for dessert was also excellent.

At about 12:45 p.m. we saw the Tour Boat pass on the water so we went to the boat ramp across the street. Charlotte talked to the "Captain" who asked if we had called. He said he was not doing any more trips today.

We then headed for another "Boat Cruise" site. It was about 15 minutes away and departed from "Stumpknockers On The River". Again, we got an answering machine with the same "leave a name, Phone # and message...message." We decided to wait for the promised "call back".

We waited for a bit. We noticed the "Cypress Knees" and guessed this might be where the restaurants name originated. We also noted all the trees (and the bridge) had "High Water Marks" that were probably from Hurricane Irma.

We did not get a call back from either "Captain". By 3 p.m. we decided that it was too nice a day to waste. We left and headed back to OMS which was about an hour away. The sunshine was enjoyed - with the top off and all the windows down.

Charlotte finished the last "Halo" (Mandarin Oranges) this morning so I detoured to make a quick stop at our usual Publix in Eustis. Charlotte picked up a few other items, as well.

As we entered the main downtown (a whole block long) in Umatilla, FL I had a "Vibe". I asked if an "Ice Cream" would be "OK" for supper. Charlotte said, "I was thinking about that". 'Nuff said ...we pulled in and parked at the door. We each had a "two-scooper" of hard ice cream.

We arrived back at the motorhome before sunset.

Supper was a slice of apple pie (one of the "other items" picked up at Publix.

As I prepared to do this blog, I discovered that the computer would not run some Windows Apps. I checked update and the "Dreaded KB..."file was downloading and preparing to install. I will know tomorrow morning, when I start the computer, if it is once again locked in the loop again.

I also will have to get the "Windows App" problem solved - even if it does.

Checking on the internet - I think I am just 1 of thousands with the same problem.

Don't be surprised if there is no "Blog" tomorrow (or for a few days).
