Sunday - 7 Feb/16

Cold nights for the next week with temps in the low 40 F at night. The highs will be about 10 F or more below average. The bonus is that we are seeing the sun occasionally between the clouds and the rain has passed.

Breakfast was round two of the walnut pancakes while watching CBS Sunday Morning.

Charlotte continued working on her T-Shirt Quilt.

In the afternoon we headed, via the backroads to Harbor Freight in Apopka, FL to pick up a few items on the last day of their sale. It was cool; but we had the top off and enjoyed the sunshine.

Our return trip brought us to JoAnn Fabrics for some more of the Route 66 fabric so Charlotte can add pillows to the T-Shirt Quilt.

We decided to stop at Chili's for a mid-afternoon snack. It was the usual skillet of Texas Cheese Fries for me and the "Made-at-Your Table" Guacamole for Charlotte. She orders this version rather than the pre-made Guacamole because she does not want the Jalapenos that comes in the pre-made. She cancels the Jalapeno and substitutes extra lime. We always only eat half and take the remainder with us. Since I only take a Half-Order skillet , also without Jalapenos, I automatically only eat half even when I eat it all. (Technicality, Eh! - grin).

Charlotte ordered Guacamole so she could be part of the SuperBowl 50 statistics.Total food consumption on SuperBowl Sunday is only surpassed by Thanksgiving. Today Americans will

     - consume 80 million Avocados.

     - drink 325 million gallons of Beer. (that's about a gallon per person, on average)

     - eat 1.23 billion Chicken Wings

     - munch on 11 million pounds of Chips

     - slurp 2,37 million dollars worth of Soda

     - hold 11 million pieces of Pizza ( amount deliver by Domino's alone).

     - pop back 3.8 million pounds of Popcorn

I won't even get into the amount of toilet flushes or toilet paper sheets, the amount of antacids, gallons of BBQ sauce or pounds of ribs or pulled pork.

The 50th anniversary edition of the SuperBowl will be watched by almost 115 million people. Past surveys indicated that almost 40% watch for the commercials.

     - Over 40% of the viewers will be female

     - The median age will be 43.7 years old

     - Ads will cost $4.8 million on average for a 30 second spot.

I can accurately predict the score before the game. I have been 100% correct to date. Before the game score prediction: Broncos 0 vs Panthers 0. After the game starts it's anybody's guess (grin).

Foolproof Prediction #2: The team that scores the most points will win the game! (another stupid grin).

The Denver Broncos win the 50th Anniversary SuperBowl and the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Best Defense vs The Best Offence and defense won.

P.S. I still think the Grey Cup Game is better!
