Wed - 19 Feb/14

Just a few wispy clouds - otherwise a repeat of Tuesday.

Charlotte was off to Quilting; however, she returned earlier than usual as she had finished sewing the pieces together. Just needs the backing and batting to finish. It will be nice.

She also brought back the tile she painted in crafts. Cute! It can be used for a coaster or similar purpose.

Major Project: I install the door stop I purchased yesterday at Lowe's (grin). It will keep the bathroom door handle from banging the wall. It wasn't marking the wall - it was just noisy. This was only a 5 minute task.

Next I refilled our daily medicine containers for the next 3 weeks. This only took an hour.  Between the two of us we take 37 pills per day for our heart and diabetes conditions. (Can you say; "Medicated!"). Hey- we are alive!

We can't do as much as we used to; however, our rule is: "We will do as much as we can - as long as we can." I don't know about you; but, I'm 18 'til I die.

Charlotte drove to Quilting this morning because she was taking the sewing machine. This afternoon she walked to crafts to enjoy the great weather.

This afternoon I cleaned the windows and screens in the bedroom. This is an awkward task because it has to be done while on the bed. To keep cool at night, instead of using the air conditioners, we use the roof vent fans and draw air in through these windows. This also draws in dust and cobwebs and other debris from the oak tree that extends over the RV.

Charlotte returned with a bracelet almost at the finished stage. She will be adding a few additional beads.

Taking advantage of the hot, sunny weather she applied a few extra clear finish coats to her glass plate.

Dropped by to deliver a few maps on how to get to "The Villages"  to the folks who invited us to supper last night. Mapping programs - GPS or otherwise - are always a year or two behind current construction. Even Google finds it hard to keep current. They were out enjoying the beautiful weather so I placed the maps in their door handle.

We then departed the park for Publix (grocery store) a few miles down the road. I needed gas so I filled at the 7-11 across the road from the Publix store. When it gets "Summer Hot" back home Charlotte gets a craving for Potato Salad. It was "Summer Hot" here today so we decided to have an "RV Picnic". We started with Potato and Macaroni Salads. We added Mortadella and Provolone from the deli section to go with the (still warm from the bakery) Italian Loaf. Unfortunately, they didn't carry Pate so I substituted "Olive Tapenade Hummus" and a triangle of Danish Blue Cheese. To finish it off I chose a decadent Chocolate Pecan Coconut Pie (...to die for...).

Our "RV Picnic" was a success - we will be doing a repeat!

Again, the Olympics before retiring for the evening.
