Wed - 12 Feb/14

High humidity and "Pea Soup" thick fog this morning. Another storm front is coming in with the slight chance of a Tornado. The Southeastern U.S. is being hit by snow and freezing rain similar to what caused a 4 day shut-down in Atlanta a few weeks back. It is going to be hit again. We will just get rain and colder temps starting later this evening.

Charlotte headed off to Quilting. She spent the session showing another RVer how to make the craft basket she has been working on as the RVer is departing soon.

I spent the morning installing the OBDii Scanning Tool software on the computer. It took a while to locate the connector (inside red circle) under the dash to the left of the steering wheel.

The reading on the OBDii Scanning Tool confirmed my suspicions - it was the O2 (#1 - forward oxygen Sensor) giving a low voltage reading. I reset the error code and will check it out next time we are on the road. It may have been just a momentary glitch caused by a lack of air flow due to the extremely heavy rain as we came into Florida.

Charlotte painted a tile at crafts (for use as a coaster) in the afternoon craft session today. On her return we headed out to Camping World - Ocala (actually in Summerfield, FL) to pick up Charlotte's Valentine's Day Present. They had the item that we looked for yesterday in the Kissimmee Camping World. Just like Orlando, the Camping World Website indicated they had it in stock. To make sure I called, confirmed and had them put one away.

A soon as Charlotte arrived back from crafts we left for Camping World. The same massive storm front that has left Atlanta an ice covered ghost town earlier today was moving into our area late this afternoon. We arrived at Camping World, picked up the item (at the Service Counter), put the top on the car and were on our way in just a few minutes. We had thought about getting a "Fast Food" supper; however, it was just beginning to sprinkle so we cancelled the thought and headed straight back to the RV.

We were happy to finally locate the Magma 10 Piece Teflon Coated Stainless Steel Induction Cook-Top Gourmet Nesting Cookware Set we wanted. Previously we could only locate the identical set minus the Teflon coating. The cookware is made from 18-10 Marine Grade Stainless Steel with encapsulated Tri-clad (layered: top - stainless steel, middle - aluminum, bottom - magnetic stainless steel) the bottom of which is extremely flat and heavy. This makes it perfect for induction cooking.

The set features detachable handles which allow it to store in less than 1/2 cubic feet of space. This is ideal for the RV storage.

Local news indicated the storm was moving at 45 - 60 mph. We manged to keep just ahead of the rain and arrived back a few minutes before it started to come down in our area. Thunder could be heard as we unpacked the car. The deluge began a few minutes after we were safely inside.

"Storm Watch" was indicated on our Weather Radio. There is a small chance of a Tornado (somewhere) in this storm. We are expecting almost an inch of rain over the next few hours. The worst of it moved through fairly quickly.

We watched some of the Olympics then switched over to the “The Beatles: The Night That Changed America—A Grammy Salute.” with Paul (McCartney) and Ringo (Starr). We can remember when they first appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show - that dates us! Wow! That was 50 years ago.

Beatles music is always a good way to end the day.
