Thu - 13 Feb/14

This morning is still overcast from last night's weather. The wind is really strong and cool. Mid-50's F today - Wind Chill in the 40's F; however, it cleared by late afternoon and will be predominantly sunny and around the 70's F for the next week.

This morning's walkers were all bundled up. I think they were walking a little quicker to keep warm.

We have been quite busy lately. Charlotte decided to skip Quilting today. This will be pretty much an RV day giving us a chance to rest up for the nice weather that's coming.

Charlotte washed and prepared her new cookware for "seasoning" with olive oil.

It really does store all 10 pieces compactly. Neat!

I spent the time looking up items for the Motorhome (Engine) related to airflow.

I checked Autozone (online) for CRC Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) Cleaner - no luck.

I did find that Advance Auto Parts carries this product and it was in stock in Eustis, FL - just down the road a few miles (at the Publix's grocery store corner). This special cleaner is required as normal engine cleaners can seriously damage the MAF and end up costing hundreds of $$ to replace.

A clogged fuel filter can cause low fuel pressure which could result in an O2 warning. Workhorse is the only source for the original fuel filter which is very expensive and hard to locate - even at workhorse dealers.

I ordered an adapter (with filter) from OEM Engineering that is less costly than the Workhorse filter unit.

Each filter change after the adapter is installed will cost 20% of the Workhorse price with the added bonus of being an original GM Filter w/Stainless Steel housing compared to the Workhorse part w/painted metal case (which can rust).

The OEM Engineering Fuel Filter adapter is highly recommend by owners of Workhorse Chassis Motorhomes in a number of on-line RV forums. Ordering from OEM Engineering was really easy (by phone). It was nice of them to call and double-check the mailing address being it was different than the credit card address information. This was because I live in Canada and wanted it delivered to where I am staying in Florida. I should receive it by early next week.

Charlotte did some finishing touches on her purse project. Looks good! She made modifications from the original plans for the strap. Using 1 instead of 2 "Scrunchies" on each strap allows sliding the scrunchies to the bottom to hold the purse closed at the grommets. If she does another purse in the future she will move the inside and outside pockets to the front and back rather than being on the ends. This would make the pockets easier to use.

I continued using the internet to find information. Now I know the MAF Sensor location (in the air intake tube just aft of the air filter box). I now can cleanse it once I get the proper spray.

We continued to take it easy and skipped the Regular Bingo this evening.

This afternoon's clear skies means no cloud cover tonight. Temps will drop to just below 40 F by morning.

Tonight TV was mostly Olympics. It was good to rest today
