Sat - Jan 28/12

Rested in the RV in the morning before leaving for the Phoenix Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival at the Arizona State Fairgrounds just off I-17. We took the Loop 202 which is an easy (50 Mile) ride when it is not rush hour.

The show has dozens of exhibitors. There are also dozens of free seminars as well as special classes (for a small fee). This is not a "Quilt Only" show like Tucson (great show) but more a merchandise show. Charlotte picked up a special foot for her new Brother Sewing Machine that has a guide for 1/4 inch seams.

It took a few hours to do the 2 exhibit buildings. We didn't go to the third building which was for $$Seminars.

After the show we returned on US-60 instead of the Loop 202 as we would be exiting on Stapley Road to have supper at Romano's Macaroni Grill.  Charlotte had a chicken salad and I had a "Make-Your-Own" Pasta. I filled out an order slip choosing my type of pasta (Penne), type of sauce (Arrabiata), toppings (Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Asparagus) and Meat (Sausage).

Again, an enjoyable ride (top off) along Baseline Road back to Canyon Vistas.
