Wed - 5 Mar/14

Up with the wake up call at 5:30 a.m.

Ready and the car was packed before 6 a.m. We had our breakfast at the breakfast bar and were on our way at 6:30 a.m.

It will be I-81 all the way home until we get to the Canadian border at the Thousand Islands crossing.

Filled up in Watertown, NY. The prices increase as you travel north from SC. It was now up to $3.79 per gallon. Still much cheaper than in Ontario (all taxes).

We stopped at the Duty Free to pick up 2 bottles of rum ($30 U.S.) as gifts. That is a savings of over $75 Canadian over Ontario LCBO prices (again - all taxes).

We called ahead and gave our ETA (6:30 p.m.) Our grandson was at a hockey practice (5-6) which was perfect. We had our daughter (Kat) order pizza and poutine. She, Gord (her guy) and Liz (our other daughter) Nick (hubby) and Marty (grandson) would meet us at our house for supper.

Hugs and Kisses, gifts given, pizza and poutine eaten w/Tim Horton Doughnuts for dessert - a nice way to arrive home. (P.S. The cats also got a hug)

We both jumped in the Jacuzzi after supper then straight to sleep.
