Mon - Apr 9/12

I topped up the Propane this morning in preparation for our departure on Thursday (tentative).

Plan A: re-wiring the windshield washer. I thought it was a failure (again) with the wiper control so I attempted to just jump the wire from the wiring harness. The problem (I now believe) is in the intermediate wiring harness. The first section (connector near the motor) works fine. When I tried to power from inside the RV it blew the fuse. The short in this section of wiring is what is burning the wiper arm switch.

Plan B: I wired the washer motor directly by stringing new wire through the firewall to fuse panel inside the RV. I then installed a "Piggy Back" fuse holder. This neat little device plugs into an existing fuse location and operates the existing fuse normally. The "Piggy Back" portion allows another connection with it's own fuse to be wired. I wired this to a car push button starter switch which is a momentary switch. Success! When I push the button the windshield washers work.

We went swimming late afternoon - can't miss swimming when the temp is over 90F. On the way to the pool we did the recycling.

After the swim we headed out for supper. Charlotte felt like pasta. We first tried "Caruso's Italian Restorante". To our disappointment it was now closed. A number of restaurants have closed this year in the area.

We then went to Romano's Macaroni Grill. We chose to make our own pasta. The warm, oven-fresh Rosemary Bread with it's crunchy crust when dipped (Olive Oil and Balsmaic Vinegar mix) was a treat.

We had thought of the 2 Tapas/2 Entree special and decided it was too much (quantity - not price). Instead we choose the "Make-Your-Own-Pasta". We both chose the Capellini (pasta). Charlotte chose the Pesto-Basil sauce with roasted asparagus, mushrooms and snap peas topped with roasted chicken. I had the Bolognese (Meat Sauce) with roasted asparagus, mushrooms and tomatos topped with meat balls and Italian sausage. All excellent. Even this was too much for us. We will have Italian again tomorrow.

We chose to return via Baseline Road. The trip back in the warm evening air was a "top off" treat.

As usual - a little TV then bed.
