Tuesday - 19 Jan/16

Tuesday is either a travel day or a relaxing day as no "In-Park" activities are going on in which we participate. With the cold temps today (highs in the mid-50's F) we decided this morning would be a relaxing day (to a degree). It took a few hours for me to complete all the business and routine computer chores due to the slow Wi-Fi.

Charlotte worked on finishing knitting "Scrubbies" that she is making using special yarn she found yesterday at JoAnn Fabrics.

She also set up the sewing machine to complete yesterday's craft project which was cloth "Catch-All" boxes.

At 3 p.m.I received an email with a sale coupon for Harbor Freight's "12 inch Sliding Compound Double-Bevel Miter Saw with Laser Guide. It was the Winner of The Family Handyman's "Best Value Award".  ...Yahoo!!! (I sure could have used this for my last two projects; but it wasn't on sale). I couldn't resist the great price!

We took the top off the Del Sol and headed to Harbor Freight Tools in Apopka, FL. Again, by mid-afternoon it was sunny and cool; but not cold. It is a longer drive to Apopka than to the Leesburg, FL store; however, it is a prettier drive with a lot less traffic. A portion of the road has Orchid Greenhouses lining both sides and most of the travel is in rural areas. This way we avoid the "Crazy Busy" traffic on US-441 (Orange Blossom Trail).

We usually go to this Harbor Freight. The staff here is always fantastic starting with the cashier's friendly greeting when we entered. Rick, the Manager, helped me place the saw into the Del Sol's trunk. He wasn't surprised that it would fit as he used to own a Del Sol. The only drawback was we had to put the top on for the drive back.

Supper was a repeat of the Burger King's "5 for $4" deal like last night. Charlotte was anxious to get back to sewing rather than having to cook supper so she took me up on my offer of having supper out.

I managed to get the big box out of the trunk and into the motorhome. I will wait until tomorrow to open it up (while Charlotte is at the Quilting session).

Charlotte couldn't wait to get back to her sewing machine to finish the "Catch-All" boxes.(x 3). Hand stitching finished them off.

They are just "Cute" (and handy).

During NCIS we shared a bowl of Hot, Buttered Popcorn in recognition of "National Popcorn Day". Like we need an excuse! (grin).

It ended up being a busier day than originally planned.
