Fri - 6 Feb/15

Wow! Clear skies and sunshine this morning.

No a.m. clouds means the air is dry. Still today's temp will only be in the high 60's F.

The Mt. Dora Arts Festival is nationally ranked with artists from all over the world. It is one of our favourites. The hundreds of booths filling the downtown streets are expected to attract 300,000 visitors this weekend. It opens tomorrow and runs from 10 am - 5 pm both days.

After lunch Charlotte took a walk to the main clubhouse to check if there were new craft sign-up sheets for next week. Charlotte found two craft items w/dates that she was interested in.

A TV afternoon before deciding to go to the Golden Arches Corral for supper. We were going to go to McD's for a quick supper then to the Friday Bingo in the main clubhouse. Along the way we changed our mind and went to Golden Corral for a more leisurely meal. We would then skip bingo and save our energy for the Art Festival tomorrow.

On our way through Eustis we noticed there was a street party downtown. A bus load of student musicians were unloading as we passed by. Tonight was: "Eustis Live! All that Jazz!"  from 6 -10 p.m. in the downtown entertainment district. We thought about going; however it was too cold without our coats which we didn't bring because we thought we would just be out of the car for a moment as we went into the restaurant.

Needless to say the line was to the door when we went in and out the door when we left. There wasn't a spare table all the time we were there. The Supper Buffet is a few dollars more expensive because of the featured  meat extras. We found the 5 0z. sirloins, cooked to order,  were very good and the Pot Roast was beyond tasty.

Bonus: Besides free drinks for Seniors and a 10% discount with our OMS (Olde Mill Stream) Discount Card. We also received a half dozen Yeast Buns free with our meal. All you can eat and something to take home too! What a deal!

I don't think there was a parking spot to be had in downtown Eustis even if we wanted to stay for the Street Party. It is less than 10 miles from Golden Corral to OMS so we were back to the RV quite quickly.

Just a another quiet TV night if we can keep from falling asleep on our full tummies (grin).
