Mon - 7 Apr/14

Another warm one with temps over 90 F for the first time this year. The humidity is on the increase. Thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow as a storm front moves in from the north bringing a large drop in temperature. Note: A Florida "Cold Spell" this time of year means down to the low 70's F).

Up and out early to bring the car in to Blount Honda in Leesburg, FL to get the body work done on the rear fender area. Since John C. has sold his shop in town (Long Sault, ON) (see reference in the blog : Sat - 5 Apr/14) I will get the work done here. It is not much - the size of  two quarters - side -by-side).I really can't complain - the car has been a "daily driver" for 19 years.

This will also give us a chance to "re-charge our batteries" after a few really busy days in the hotter weather.

Perhaps I can use the time to come closer to making a decision on the route home?

We spent the afternoon relaxing while watching the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race that was postponed yesterday due to persistent rain. Crazy weather everywhere. Florida has seen a 25% increase in tourism this winter due to the cold weather in the north.

The Duck Commander 500 Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway was postponed until today at noon. It's the third time in seven races that rain has disrupted the start of a Sprint Cup race this season. Joey Logano won in a close finish. This made him the seventh different winner in the first seven races.

A Thunderstorm arrived right on time as predicted by the local TV Weather Report - at 5:10 p.m. A heavy dump with a few "flicks" of the power and the Wi-Fi and then it was over. Florida weather, Eh! At least our two new neighbours arrived and set up before it started.

Ooops! The computer is running on battery power. I wonder if the power interruption blew the power supply. I will publish today's blog before the computer dies. If there is no blog for a day or two it is because the power supply did die and I cannot get another until the car returns after the body work is completed.
