Fri., 8 Feb 13

Spent most of today getting ready for an early departure Saturday morning.

Things were placed in storage, a little cleaning, a little arranging and the garbage was collected. The sewage was emptied so that tomorrow I will only have to disconnect the water and power. I also removed the front windshield and driver/passenger window privacy sunscreens as well. Removal is easier than installation. I do not need to get out the 8' ladder that is required for installation. The ladder is required to reach and press on the button snaps when installing. Removal just requires using the broom handle end to pop them off.

The large main slideout was pulled in with no problems despite the fact that the under slide storage is full and adds to the weight. The RV is designed to allow passage from end to end even if all three slides are in. With the main slide in it just means are almost 12' wide living room will be only about 9 1/2' wide. We will pull in the other two slideouts tomorrow before departure.

The lazy boy chair will be positioned in its floor hold-down bracket as the last task before tomorrow. The portable chairs were stored in the car trunk and the larger lounge chairs will be put in their usual storage spot in the RV.

Tomorrow will just require we pull in the other 2 slideouts and the water and power cables disconnected and store. After lowering the automatic levelers we will then pull out to the front of the park and attach the Del Sol to the tow bar. The toad (towed car) lights are in place on the Del Sol and the "Brake Buddy" is on the passenger seat and will be installed after the car is connected to the tow bar tomorrow.

A near perfect day today with clear blue sky and high 70's F with a light breeze. I am now doing the blog so the computer and printer can be stored. Charlotte made pizza for supper. We will watch TV and "hit the sack" early tonight.

Tomorrow - a new adventure begins.

The blog might be delayed for a day or so depending on the time we arrive at the next RV Park and the availability of good Wi-Fi.
