Tue - Mar 13/12

Another day in the 80's F.

Charlotte went off to the last sewing class. I did the recycling (near the activity rooms)  and surprised her when I stopped in to take a picture.

Things are winding down at the park. Many folks have been here since October and those that do not live as far north as us tend to leave to be home at Easter. Some folks, like our neighbour, come with a little more than others. There is a  "Collector" Mustang convertible on the top rack of the trailer and there will soon be a Jeep (4 Door version) on the bottom along with a golf cart (side ramp) and assorted lawn chairs, etc.

The motorhome is needed to tow the trailer - it is too big to be towed by the Jeep - even empty.

We needed a few grocery items (Basha's is just across from the park entrance) so we combined the shopping with lunch at Chen's Chinese Bistro in the same shopping area. Chen's is quite popular with the RV Park residents. Again, Catherine treated us.

The food is as excellent (and plentiful) as the price ($5.25) is good. Each lunch selection comes with a small soup (Egg Flower) and salad, egg roll, crab angle, fried rice and the obligatory fortune cookie. Catherine, Charlotte and I each choose a different main course and shared. The "Moo Goo Guy Pan", Chicken w/Almonds amd Chicken Lo Mein were all plentiful and excellent. The quick and friendly service is a bonus.

Once again we took the path to the pool. As always we met a variety of dogs being walked.  A number of cottontails (including a few babies) were scurrying about and birds were flying in and out of their nests in the Saguaro (Sue-wear-o) Cactii. The pool, as usual, was relaxing and refreshing.

Supper was "Fend for Yourself " - Whenever and Whatever. I'm sure that the lunch was not really Chinese - unlike the urban myth - we were not hungry a few hours later.

Tuesday - as usual - was NCIS TV night. We are also fitting into the park standard - asleep before 11 pm and up before 8 am.
