Still another day of computer chaos. It ran all night to find that it only displayed that it failed by morning.
Now it will do absolutely nothing. I tried recovery; however, whatever is causing the problem blocked it from restoring. At the moment I cannot do anything. It is stuck at the "Windows is preparing ...do not turn off the computer" message.
I decided to take a break by mid-afternoon and offered Charlotte a trip to "Material Girl". This is a quilt supply store the ladies had mentioned in the craft room the other day. Luckily, I had noted the address (while the computer was still functioning), put it into "Mable" (our GPS), changed the route so we would be using "The Back Roads" and we were off - with the top off the Del Sol.
We arrived less than 15 minutes later.
Marie, the owner and quilter extraordinaire, was wonderful.
She explained the numerous quilting creations that lined the shop walls. Many were from her own self-designed patterns. Most of the material on display was specifically meant for her creations making it so much easier than having to look for suitable colours and patterns at the major craft retailers. Shopping where you get the "Personal Touch", is so much more fun!
Marie (Material Girl) can be found at:
36844 Hart Ranch Rd
Eustis, FL 32736
(407) 252-2539
and at:
redhartquilts.com on YouTube.
Charlotte purchased the kit for this quilt. I'm sure it will look equally good when she completes it (after her current project).
I also enjoyed talking to Marie's hubby - discussing "Cars" (of course). He enjoyed our 23 year old Honda Del Sol. He also has a two-seater, a "New Era" T-Bird. I mentioned I previously had a T-Bird (1965) convertible that I wished I still had. You know, hindsight is 20-20 (yadda-yadda-yadda).
We decided to take an alternate route back to OMS. We forgot to pick up relish and popcorn on our grocery trip so we returned to Publix to fill our shopping needs.
We also did a repeat of Burger King - same location, same meal - for supper.
We then debated going to "The Villages (Spanish Springs section) for the annual Christmas Classic Car street display. As we had done this a number of times, coupled with we both were still a bit on the tired side from our trip to Florida, we passed and decided to head back to the "RV for TV".
We made it home in time to unpack and watch Jeopardy. We still enjoy the Saturday repeats.
"Channel Surfed" until bedtime. Then, it was TV in the bedroom - on timer. We always fall asleep before it shuts-off.
