Slept in a little. On the road about 7:30 a.m. Cloudy with a really light rain. Just needed intermittent wipers on slowest speed. The roads didn't get wet with the heavy traffic drying it off. All flowed well.
Basically, I-95 is 3 lanes all the way through Georgia and into Florida. I just cruise at the speed limit (70 mph) in the center lane.
Fueled up at our usual stop at the Brunswick, GA Flying J to get cheaper gas before entering Florida. There will be enough left in the tank to return without having to fill in Florida.
Again, we took our usual bypass of Jacksonville on I-295 (East towards JAX Beaches/Daytona Beach). Like Richmond, VA, the East bypass has less traffic (Not as much beach traffic this time of year). It only adds about 3 miles and gives a great view of the harbour as we cross the high level bridge.
We took our usual route turning off I-95 at Bunnell, FL. It is shorter, has fewer stop lights and much less traffic compared to continuing on the Ormond Beach/Daytona Beach exit. Time is about the same because of the shorter distance.
In at the Olde Mill Stream RV Resort in Umatilla, FL about 2 p.m. The office is closed on Sunday; however the Duty Staff are located right at the entrance. Charlotte was thrilled to see Julie and Kathy Lee. Always a warm welcome at OMS. Crafts start in a week from tomorrow (Monday) - she can't wait.
We unhooked the car and were set up on our usual lot shortly after. After the water, sewer lines and power were hooked up I set up the TV's. That was it. A little TV and we were soon off to sleep.
It was good to be back.
