Sun - 16 Mar/14

Walked the guys over to the showers in the Rec Hall at 8:30.

Charlotte and Liz made their version of McD's Egg McMuffins ....mmmm Good!

Now it is planning time - around the weather. Today will be great - tomorrow?

The decision was to go to Renniger's Twin Markets in Mt. Dora.

Our first stop was to see the chainsaw carvings. David does fantastic work - the details speak for themselves.

Although he will do bears - his passion is birds. There were Eagles and Owls on display that were beyond description.

His other carvings were just as impressive.

David gave Marty (grandson) a carved Bear Print - neat!

It was very interesting talking with David. He has many talents - including writing Sci-Fi. His chainsaw carvings support his travels and his vocation.

We made the usual tour of the Flea Market part of the Twin Markets. Nick bought some "Tupelo" Honey - the world's best in my book.

We bought some "Boiled Peanuts" for Charlotte and Liz to share (now Liz is hooked). We didn't get ny the Mini-Donut booth without picking up 2 "Buckets". A lot of temptations through (I told Nick he should have brought the trailer) - maybe we will go back?

Next stop was just down the road at Harbor Freight. Liz and Marty went to the Dollar Store while Nick and I went to Harbor Freight. We bought a "bunch of stuff" (guy term for things I might need). We each purchased 3M Headlight restorer kits for our vehicles. Over the years the plastic headlight covers become clouded and reduce the night vision.

Nick started doing the headlight covers on their car.

When the rechargeable battery died on the drill they all (except for me - I stayed to write the blog) headed for the pool.

Marty's camera is waterproof. Neat!

After the swim we headed to "The Villages". On the way we stopped at a car wash to clean the "Travel Dirt" off the car. Marty and Nick got it sparkling.

At The Villages we headed to City Fire for Nachos. Great as usual! We usually sit on the porch and listen to the live music emanating from the bandstand across the street in the town square. The wait for an available table would have been too long so we ate inside. We had our own private dining room.

More than the usual number of Golf Carts today.

We took a walk over to the dock area to enjoy the view.

One of the Gold Carts had a pair of "Bubble Machines" Kids of all ages were having fun.

Dessert was at Rocking Johnny's. We sat at the counter and enjoyed our milkshakes ...so good!

We had fun putting nickels in the Juke Box and picking "oldies" to listen to.

Marty posed for a picture with a giant milkshake.

Then it was back to the car and a quick ride back to the RV.

We sure had a busy day!
